The photography industry is a popular sector among young people, as additional income, as well as the main professional activity. Activities in the field of photography are part of a creative economy, which, in turn, can be called one of the global “success stories” over the past 20 years. Indeed, creativity is considered the most important component in ensuring economic growth, while not requiring the use of natural resources and creates new jobs every day.
According to the report of the British Council on mapping of creative industries, as of 2018 about 18,000 enterprises operating in this sector of the economy in Kazakhstan. Almaty is the undisputed leader, since 44.8% of the total number of enterprises in the country are registered here.
