MISSION AND GOALS
The development strategy of the Narxoz University
The onset of the new reality is characterized by the dominance of artificial intelligence and related technologies, which implies a redistribution of human capital between the occupations held by people. The strategic development of an organization implies both the determination of development priorities and the cessation of the implementation of outdated approaches. It is unlikely that a larger number of specialists trained in the same conservative programs will be able to adapt quickly enough to survive in a changing labor market. In the modern world, no professional field exists in isolation.
New reality is manifested in the modern world through the rapid change of society, the rapid development of information technology, and a changing need for human resources. The world can no longer be the same; the point of no return has been passed by mankind. Openness, transparency, and globalization have identified the main trends in the changing landscape of higher education.
Consequently, the education system should be focused on what makes a person a person, and not on the race for excellence with artificial intelligence.
The Narxoz University is one of the first Kazakh universities to have begun strategic planning. The complex change in approaches to university management was due to the incorporation of the university in 2002 and the need to move to new standards for effective management. University shareholders realize that only through managing a higher education institution as a socially significant object without extracting profits and consolidating it to solve strategic tasks they are able to ensure the quality of education and conformity to the changing needs of society.
2002-2011: Strategic infrastructure change, the transition to break-even, analysis of business processes implemented in the university.
2012-2014: Strengthening strategic interaction with key stakeholders. Narxoz is the first among Central Asian universities to become the grant holder of the Tempus program. Narxoz becomes a platform for a series of training seminars on the reform of higher education for the university community. Foreign experts are involved in the evaluation of university processes and resources. The first steps are taken to assess the potential of teachers for compliance with the development strategy of the university.
2015-2017: Rebranding and return of the historical name “Narxoz”. Anti-corruption focus of strategic planning. Start of the External Advisory Academic Council to identify problems and prospects for the development of the university. The first steps taken in creating spaces for students.
2018: Restarting the university management processes and the educational process. Delegation of responsibility to schools and faculties. Changing business processes and optimizing educational programs. Monitoring and assessing the quality of teaching in order to develop the teachers’ potential.
PREPARE unique, quickly adaptable leaders for SERVIng the society, THROUGH UNEXPECTED ANALYTICAL SOLUTIONS OF THE captivating EDUCATIONAL TASKS.
Vision: Leading University of Social Sciences in Eurasia. The Narxoz University will be more than the unification of its parts: the synergistic effect will manifest itself in the creation of a dynamic, durable and creative university, where mutual respect and trust reign among all stakeholders.
